Novaschool Agrosustainable

The Novaschool Agrosustainable Farm reinforces the value proposal that the Novaschool educational group offers today, promoting its educational model towards sustainability and care for the environment.

Located in Vega de Riarán, Cártama, it becomes a Nature Classroom where learning is always significant, encouraging students to build their own learning. In this way, Health and Environmental Sciences will take more space in this new Agrosustainable Farm project that is integrated into the curricular project of the Novaschool Centers.

This new Nature Classroom will allow us an infinity of projects that will undoubtedly expand the contours of the curriculum of our centers, thus taking a firm step in everything related to sustainability as a broad concept and in compliance with some of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) enacted by the UN.

Novaschool Agrosustainable Farm

The agrousustainable farm Novaschool has a surface area of 22,000 m2 distributed in natural and educational spaces such as open-air classrooms, a laboratory, an orchard, a swimming pool, and areas for animals, crops, picnic areas, etc.

Our farm school has an animal area that covers about 5,000 m2 and has indoor and outdoor spaces where horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, etc. coexist.

All the activities carried out at the Novaschool Farm School are developed on a solid pedagogical component. They combine classroom training, workshops and group dynamics based on projects.

Located in the Vega de Riarán, Cártama, our Farm School extends in a privileged natural environment next to the Fahala River (considered a Special Conservation Area (SCA) and with access to the highway less than 1Km away.

Sustainability as an educational model

It is vitally important to be able to teach Novaschool students to acquire values about the environment, recycling and sustainability.

From the pedagogical point of view, the approach to the rural environment through a nature classroom allows a different conception of the teaching-learning process, because the students outside the traditional context of the classroom learn while having fun and satisfies their curiosity through the possibility of observing, touching and experiencing directly, thus becoming aware of their environment in coexistence with classmates and teachers, socialising and learning the benefits of teamwork.

In the nature classroom, learning is always significant, because it is produced fundamentally by discovery, in this way the student is encouraged to build his own learning, acquiring the competence of learning to learn.
